Today Kody and I went on another walk on the Sammamish River Trail. About mid-way through he started kind of limping and just sat down. Then he laid down! As you frequent readers (if you exist) know, he loves his walks so this was odd. He was also licking a paw, so I called the vet right there. They could get him in just a little later so I made the appointment. Right after I got off the phone he heard a dog and was ready to go again. I had noticed some light limping a couple days ago so I decided to keep the appointment just in case.
Well, good thing I did. He does have a little sore on one of his pads. It’s not bad, my guess is he stepped on a blackberry thorn. But it’s best if we cut out the walks for a few days. That’s going to be horrible for him. We’ll have to try to find some other activities he will like.
