Bee Cause

Friday, July 18th 8:35pm Matt

Tonight Kody and I were heading outside and about 20 feet from the bottom of the stairs he just stopped moving. He was quiet, but kind of acting like when he has a prickly stuck to him. I looked on his feet and felt around but there wasn’t anything. Then I noticed he was shaking, and thought he was probably stung by a bee.

I carried him away from the area to some grass and googled dog bee stings on my iphone. Kody was just quiet and shaking but not too bad, and seemed to be breathing OK. The biggest concern I found was of course if the dog is allergic, but aside from the shaking he wasn’t exhibiting any of the signs of that. About five minutes later a cat showed up and he jumped up and barked and growled and snarled. I’d never been so happy to see him behaving badly.

So I called the manager and they’re going to get an exterminator over here tomorrow morning. I hope early. In the meantime I’m wearing long pants and a jacket zipped up and carrying Kody up and down the stairs.
