I’m just about to start watching Rachel Maddow. But for the last week she’s been heavily covering discussion and the negotiation of the stimulus bill. What I’ve learned is that the members of congress are pathetic.
I don’t want these people, Democrats or Republicans, deciding how my tax dollars are spent. It looks like it’s just going to be a big expensive useless bill. I want economists to decide what to do. Politicians know almost nothing about economics, but they’re the ones making the decisions, and it shows.
I hate to just throw this out there, but I have completely lost faith in our government. It’s just ridiculous. I don’t know what we should do next, but I do know this, I want the smartest people for a topic making the decisions about that topic. No more politicians.
Yes, not a terribly productive post, but this is not something we can negotiate our way out of. Our government is fundamentally broken, and it’s only going to get worse. Just wait and see and try to enjoy the ride.
