Just a quick note. The Super Bowl this year was really boring. The game had some interesting moments, but they were never earth shattering. For instance, it was exciting when the Saints ran an interception for a touch down, but the result was that the game was then effectively over, so not really exciting.
The ads this year, although some were mildly entertaining, were pretty boring. Even the GoDaddy ads were boring. They kept trying to be risqué but they were the most corporate version of risqué. Oh how dirty, a girl rips off her shirt to reveal… another shirt!!! The girls didn’t even have big boobs. Boring.
Nobody took chances this year, and I kind have to say, I’m not really looking forward to next year. I usually like to watch the Super Bowl because I feel connected to the other watchers, but this year it was just blah. It will be interesting to see what other people think on the topic.
By the way, I would post the lame GoDaddy Super Bowl commercial here just to make a point but all the Super Bowl commercials have embedding turned off. What a brilliant marketing idea: prevent distribution of your advertising! The Super Bowl Sucks!
