Tonight Kody and I were heading outside and about 20 feet from the bottom of the stairs he just stopped moving. He was quiet, but kind of acting like when he has a prickly stuck to him. I looked on his feet and felt around but there wasn’t anything. Then I noticed he was shaking, and thought he was probably stung by a bee.

I carried him away from the area to some grass and googled dog bee stings on my iphone. Kody was just quiet and shaking but not too bad, and seemed to be breathing OK. The biggest concern I found was of course if the dog is allergic, but aside from the shaking he wasn’t exhibiting any of the signs of that. About five minutes later a cat showed up and he jumped up and barked and growled and snarled. I’d never been so happy to see him behaving badly.

So I called the manager and they’re going to get an exterminator over here tomorrow morning. I hope early. In the meantime I’m wearing long pants and a jacket zipped up and carrying Kody up and down the stairs.

Today I met Daniel at Bellevue Square to do some shopping. Once again I have ended up in a position where very few of my clothes fit and I’m having a hard time finding things I can wear. Most things are too small, although one of the XXL polos I bought at American Eagle is too big currently. My body proportions are shifting around making me less fat but larger up top.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_bfpvd7iOAI0/RkAcolJAHmI/AAAAAAAAAI4/-TFWDhcOl9k/s320/16848_01_b.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5062077464654650978" />I bought my first stuff at Hollister ever. Two pairs of shorts and a t-shirt. The t-shirt is XL and would generally be considered too small for me. However, it’s fairly stretchy so it looks good and will be able to expand. My body is getting to the point where I can buy XL t-shirts and I’ll basically stretch out the top part, but my waist is small enough that the shirt is loose there. So even though the shirt is tight around the shoulders, pecs, and arms, it looks really good. Daniel brought me a polo he thought I should try on in XL. The shirt would literally not fit on and I nearly hurt myself in the process. Hollister doesn’t make XXL, so I don’t think anything other than really stretchy shirts will ever fit me there.

I also bought a shirt at Armani Exchange that looks really good. This one was XXL, but it fits just about right. At this point, Michal is still telling me not to be afraid to buy a bit bigger as I’ll grow into it.

I really enjoy clothes shopping with a more muscular build. Clothes are finally starting to fit the way I’ve always wanted them to. When I was thin, clothes would fit and look good, but I was never really happy with the whole package. And thanks to Daniel for helping me out with a second opinion because I’m still not quite in touch with how things will end up looking.

Friday nights and Saturdays are when my leg workout from the past Wednesday and all the workouts of the week catch up to me and my body, or really my brain, just stops working. I had to take a nap today.

Earlier in the day, I had a workout with Michal because he had an appointment during the week. Then he and Charna and I went to breakfast. He has the most amazing life stories. It’s so interesting talking with someone who’s been such a massively successful athlete despite facing incredible adversity. He told me some stories today that nearly had me in tears and then a story about something that happened to him while he was a professional soccer player that made me so angry I almost wanted him to stop talking about it. We all know there are some serious jerks in this world, but man, sometimes people can be really really bad. After hearing about what he’s overcome I realize that I can do so much better with the resources and opportunities I have.

Lately he’s been giving me a hard time telling me my workout clothes are all too small. Today he said, “Am I going to have to go shopping for you? Your legs are way too big for those shorts!” So I just got back from buying a bunch of new shorts and shirts, all a size larger. Trying them on at first they looked big, but then I realized they were actually the right size. It’s so hard to notice these things. I feel like a kid who’s growing and doesn’t notice that he’s wearing high waters.

I was at the Sports Authority in Crossroads Mall and after went to QFC and then to Starbucks. I thought to myself that this mall is a lot like University Village and they should upgrage it accordingly. The place was packed, I could barely find a spot by the Starbucks. There was a full diversity of people present. A bluegrass (at least I think it was bluegrass, it was country twangy) band was playing and lots of people were there for the show. The music was so fun I almost sat down for a while.

This week’s leg workout was a killer. Again the feeling of squats has evolved since the previous squat workout. I used a weight belt for the first time because Michal gave me one for Christmas. I asked him to sign it to make it more special. I felt a bit cheesy about that, but then he then told me how he had all the stuff his old trainer gave him stored away too.

Over the break I gained a lot of muscle and for the first time since I’ve been training, I gained 2 pounds of fat instead of losing some. This is thanks to a relaxed diet over the break. I have the nearly the least amount of bodyfat I’ve had in a year but the muscle is changing my body shape and I’m feeling hugely fat. None of my pants are fitting well. So today I bought my first pair of Carhartt pants because I now have the body (specifically, the butt) to fit them and I was hoping they’re made to fit bigger guys in general. Yes, I love that I now get to put myself in that category. I was a bit horrified that the waist size is a whopping 36 since my jeans are 33. My legs are getting bigger, but they still seem like normal size legs to me. I’m having a hard time telling anymore what’s big and what’s small. I’m wearing and XXL button down shirt and if I hunch my shoulders it’s tight. Anyway, I tried the Carhartt’s in a 34 waist and they were just way to small everywhere, it wasn’t a waist issue. I talked to Michal about this and he said that pants are basically out for him now. He has some jeans but to fit over his legs, the waist is too big so they’re not super comfortable. Then he has some custom tailored dress pants, but obviously he’s not going to wear those very often. There are plenty of guys much bigger than I am that have plenty of pants. However, it’s clear that if I want to continue to fit in pants of a normal nature, the body fat’s going to have to go down.

Today I got the credit card bill from hell. Car insurance and the Prague ticket and various other junkahol. Ouch is all I have to say, time to transfer some money.

What’s hot, you ask? Well, old 80’s rock is hot! Right now I’m very much enjoying this classic!
