I am not giving a rose to The View. Elizabeth just keeps dropping the right wing talking points, Whoopi just isn’t that interesting, and Joy and Sherri aren’t funny enough to make up for it. If there’s a cast change, I’ll try again.

I am giving a rose to the cite HTML element. It has replaced the i element for me for marking up names of TV shows and books.

I am not giving a rose to Kody’s testicles. He is so horny all the time and I never knew it could get this annoying for me or frustrating for him. Next Monday is the big day.

I am giving a rose to Kody’s everything else. He was so good at the SRT today. Even sitting patiently while I was talking to a woman who had two dogs with her. Here are some pictures of him relaxing in the stream.

However, I have an idea of what would make this whole situation right. The View should send Elisabeth Hasselbeck in person to spend a day or two with the leader and the members of this church. She can find out for us first hand if they’re racist or not. If they are, the Republicans win and Barack will be dealt a huge setback. If on the off chance the black members of this church are not racists, then Elisabeth will have helped find the truth, will have helped Barack Obama, and can be glad she brought the whole issue up in the first place. Thanks Elisabeth!

Of course, this won’t happen because nobody follows up anymore. They just spout accusations and move on like nothing happened. The View is as guilty of this as Fox News.

First, no. Clearly Hannity and Hasselbeck have never been part of a minority. This church is talking about bringing black people up to the level of equality. If white people were to say this, they would be talking about whites who are already privileged staying in power and keeping basic human rights away from other races. To make it clear, this church is not saying black people are better than white people. They’re committing to helping black people move toward true equality.

Now Hannity and Hasselbeck clearly could have figured this out if they spent 30 seconds thinking about it. Or could they? If they couldn’t figure it out, they’re both incredibly stupid, but I don’t think that’s the case. I think they are both just hateful evil people who would dare to call a black man fighting for equality in America a racist and at the same time try to make all black people feel guilty for caring about themselves. To me, this is just so evil I have a hard time coming up with words to describe it. Elisabeth Hasselbeck should be fired from The View. She can go work on Fox News where she can spread her message of hate to those who like that kind of thing.

Our three hosts quickly rebutted with messages that will help to continue the victimization of women and all people. Barbara Walters felt that talking about your salary was “rude” and would cause strife in the workplace. Too bad she’s not smart enough to make the logical jump that it could only cause strife if the salaries were unfair to begin with. Even evil Microsoft has basically made people’s rough salary information available to everyone via exposed levels.

And, as usual, the sadly ignorant Elisabeth Hasselbeck was horribly threatened by the idea of couples having separate bank accounts. She said something like, “With all the secret spending that goes on, I just don’t think it’s a good idea.” Yeah, if I were married to a professional football player, I would probably want to keep an eye on his spending too. Suze tried to make it clear that just because the accounts were separate didn’t mean they had to be secret, but Elisabeth as usual had long since closed her mind. I told a friend recently that I still hold hope for the day that Elisabeth will have some major struggle in her life and can become a strong woman we can all relate to. Until that point, her view, and I’m stretching by calling it hers, is not important to me. Her view is just a bunch of fantasies that pretty women are led to believe about the world.

The other ladies complained for all the husbands out there that they should not have to give some of their money to their wives to put in a bank account. Suze tried to make it clear that since they were married it was not just the husband’s money, but the ladies couldn’t quite grasp the idea.

This show seems to have a problem with strong women and women that actually like to empower other women. I won’t be watching for much longer. It was fun while it lasted. I like women who try to change the world, are honest, outspoken, and take risks.

I’m re-ripping all of my CDs into iTunes again this time using 320kbps AAC which is pretty near CD quality. I’d do lossless, but I don’t want to use a proprietary format or a format that doesn’t work in iTunes. Right now I’m really enjoying a couple of remixes of Erasure’s Run to the Sun. My definite favorite remix is titled The Simon & Diamond Bhangra Remix which has a wonderful middle eastern funky dance flair with a little attitude. My second favorite remix is the Beatmasters Outergalactic Remix which is sort of an electro dub type thing.

I think that I Say I Say I Say was one of the high points of Erasure’s career.

I just have to say that I love The View one more time. Especially Joy Behar. Today they were talking about dolphins and Joy said, “Have you ever ridden a dolphin? It’s like a vibrator with flippers!” Joy, you really are a star!
